Two Georgia Southern Sociologists Receive Awards

Today was a big day for our department. Dr. Alicia Brunson received a Teaching and Learning Award from the College of Liberal Arts for her project entitled “Hearing and Seeing Me: Increasing the Persistence of Black Students at a Predominately White Campus in the South.” In addition, Dr. Baker Rogers received a Scholarly Pursuit Award from Georgia Southern’s Office of Research Services & Sponsored Programs to support her research project entitled “An Examination of The Experiences of Transmen in the South”.

Congratulations to you both for having your important work recognized and supported!
