  • Courses taught by nationally and internationally recognized faculty
  • No thesis or comprehensive examination required

  • Large network of Georgia Southern MPA Alumni

A master’s degree is important in today’s workplace.  In addition to expanded career opportunities, increased autonomy and creativity in the workplace, and preparation for leadership roles within organizations, earning a master’s degree also enhances annual and lifetime earnings.  According to a recent report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employees with a master’s degree earn $12,480 per year, on average, more than employees with a bachelor’s degree.  The University System of Georgia estimates that a master’s degree is worth $247,000 more in work-life earnings than a bachelor’s degree.

Georgia Southern’s MPA program is housed in the Department of Public and Nonprofit Studies (DPNS).  The DPNS is a focal point for public service education, research, and professional development.  For the past 50 years, the Georgia Southern MPA program has been developing aspiring and current public service leaders – preparing them to manage and lead in government and the nonprofit sector.  Our program today is built for the next 50 years.  In addition to the MPA Executive Track, we also offer a Hybrid Track (blending online and face-to-face instruction on the Statesboro Campus) as well as a graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management, Leadership, and Innovation.

Please contact us at MPA@georgiasouthern.edu or 912-478-1400 with questions about the program or application process.
