Dr. Andrew J. Bulla, Ph.D., BCBA (he/him/his) | |
![]() | Andrew Bulla received his bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in autism studies from Saint Joseph’s University, and received his masters and doctoral degrees in behavior analysis from Western Michigan University. He is a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA), and has worked in a variety of settings applying behavior analysis to a diverse range of areas including education, disabilities, mental health, physical activity, and animal training and welfare. His teaching interests include Behavior Analysis, Behavioral Assessment, Behavior Change Techniques, Instructional Design, and Applications of Behavior Analysis to Education. Additionally, he enjoys providing students experiential learning opportunities to allow them to accrue hours towards certification in behavior analysis. His general research interests include the application of behavior analysis to schooling and education including precision teaching, direct instruction, instructional design, and class-wide behavior management techniques. Additionally, Dr. Bulla also applies behavior analysis to animal welfare and training. He has published his research in a variety of journals including Behavior Analysis in Practice, Journal of Behavioral Education, The European Journal of Behavior Analysis, Psychology in the Schools, and Behavior Analysis: Research and Practice. Dr. Bulla has presented over 80 peer-reviewed presentations, posters, and workshops at regional, national, and international conferences. |
Dr. Kayla R. Randall, Ph.D., BCBA-D (she/her/hers) | |
![]() | Dr. Randall is a board certified behavior analyst at the doctoral level. She earned a Master’s of Education degree in Special Education from Vanderbilt University. She earned a doctoral degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Nebraska Medical Center under the supervision of Dr. Brian Greer. During her training, she completed a doctoral internship in the Severe Behavior Program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s Munroe-Meyer Institute. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Behavior Management Program at the Center for Pediatric Behavioral Health. Her research interests include the assessment and treatment of severe destructive behavior with an emphasis on treatment relapse and translational investigations. Dr. Randall has published research in a number of peer-reviewed journals including: Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, Journal of Experimental Analysis of Behavior, Augmentative & Alternative Communication, Behavior Analysis: Research and Practice, Behavior Modification, and Behavioral Disorders. She has presented her research in regional, national, and international conferences. |
Dr. Denice Rios, Ph.D., BCBA-D (she/her/hers) | |
![]() | Denice Rios, Ph.D., BCBA-D earned her bachelor’s and master’s degree from California State University, Northridge and her doctoral degree in Behavior Analysis from Western Michigan University. Her teaching interests include Behavior Analysis, Behavioral Assessment, Behavior Change Techniques, and Supervision. Dr. Rios also teaches and manages the practicum course in the behavior analysis program where students obtain experiential learning. Her research interests include examining effective staff training strategies (e.g., feedback), assessment and treatment of problem behavior, use of behavior analytic strategies via telehealth, assessment and treatment of elopement occasioned by transitions, and addressing microaggressions in the workplace. Dr. Rios is also passionate about issues related to equity and inclusion within the field of behavior analysis. Dr. Rios has published research in a number of peer-reviewed journals including: Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, Behavior Analysis: Research and Practice, and the Journal of Behavioral Education. She has presented her research in regional, national, and international conferences. |
Dr. Jennifer L. Wertalik, Ph.D., BCBA (she/her/hers) | |
![]() | Jennifer Wertalik earned her bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary psychology/biology from Long Island University (Southampton College) and her master’s degree in applied behavior analysis with a concentration in autism spectrum disorder from Ball State University. She then received her doctoral degree in special education from The Pennsylvania State University. She is a board-certified behavior analyst and has worked in a variety of settings applying behavior analysis with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities ranging in age from 2 through 25. Her teaching interests include Behavior Analysis, Behavior Change Techniques, and Research methods in Behavior Analysis. Her research interests focus on investigating use of instructional methods to promote fluency and automaticity of daily living skills for individuals with autism and other severe disabilities, as well as socio-sexuality instruction for individuals with autism and developmental disabilities and instructional design in higher education. Dr. Wertalik has published research in a number of peer-reviewed journals including: The European Journal of Behavior Analysis, Journal of Behavioral Education, Focus on Autism and Other Developmental Disabilities, Review Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders, Autism & Developmental Language Impairments, Education and Training in Autism and Developmental Disabilities, Education and Treatment of Children, and Sexuality and Disability. She has presented her research at numerous regional, national, and international conferences. |
