Denice Rios, Ph.D., BCBA earned her bachelor’s and master’s degree from California State University, Northridge and her doctoral degree in Behavior Analysis from Western Michigan University under the advisement of Dr. Stephanie Peterson. She is also a board certified behavior analyst and has worked in a variety of applied settings focusing on the assessment and treatment of severe problem behavior. Her teaching interests include Behavior Analysis, Behavioral Assessment, Behavior Change Techniques, and Supervision. Her research interests include examining effective staff training strategies (e.g., feedback), assessment and treatment of problem behavior, use of behavior analytic strategies via telehealth, and assessment and treatment of elopement occasioned by transitions.
