Video Recording

Can I opt out of being video recorded?

No. Therapy sessions are video recorded for supervision purposes. This is a common training method employed by psychology training clinics. Individuals who view videos or have access to videos are bound by state and federal law to uphold client confidentiality. If you have concerns about being video recorded, please speak with your student therapist or call the Psychology Clinic at (912) 478-1685.

Do video recorded sessions become a part of my file?

No. Video recorded sessions are used for the purposes of supervision. They are stored separately from your client file and are permanently deleted after they are no longer needed for supervision.
