Biography

Dr. Bhattacharya received her Ph.D. from Southern Illinois University in 2013. She teaches and researches in the field of Comparative Politics and International Relations, with a focus on political conflict and terrorism. Her research has been presented at annual conferences for the American Political Science Association, the Midwest Political Science Association, the Southern Political Science Association and the Association for Asian Studies. Bhattacharya has publications in Studies in Conflict and TerrorismSmall Wars and Insurgencies, and PS: Political Science and Politics.

Research and Teaching Interests

Comparative political conflict, international terrorism, ethnicity and nationalism, South and Southeast Asian politics.
