MASS Student Publishes Work

Ryan Sipe

Ryan Sipe, GSU MASS student, recently published a book chapter titled Life and Death on the Ogeechee: A View from the Redbird Creek Village (9BN9) and its Environs. The chapter re-introduces the Redbird Creek Site, a Late Mississippian Village documented in the early 1970’s in Richmond Hill, Georgia, through excavations I conducted at the site as part of a CRM project I worked on prior to becoming a student at Georgia Southern. It discusses the site patterning, material culture, architectural techniques, and mortuary practices of the site’s residents.
