Biography
Dr. Grubb is an associate professor with the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology at Georgia Southern University. He received his Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University in 2015 during which time he worked with the Crime Victims Institute to investigate victimization within Texas.
He currently conducts research on the spatiotemporal clustering of crime, victimization of vulnerable populations, perceptions and attitudes of professionals working with victims of domestic violence as well as human trafficking, and arson within urban environments. His research has been published in the Journal of Research in Crime and Delinquency, Crime & Delinquency, the Journal of Interpersonal Violence, Trends in Organized Crime, International Journal of Offender Therapy and Comparative Criminology, Security Journal, as well as Victims and Offenders. Recently, Dr. Grubb and Dr. Chad Posick published Crime TV: Streaming Criminology in Popular Culture (New York University Press) which utilizes modern television shows as a frame for understanding criminological theory.
