Chair’s Welcome
Thank you for visiting the online home of the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences. The department offers graduate and undergraduate programs in criminal justice, criminology, and cybercrime. There are several opportunities to conduct research with award winning faculty members, take part in experiential learning, and become engaged with the community. We have a nationally-recognized internship program with opportunities to work with several organizations and agencies including the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, The White House, and the Savannah-Chatham District Attorney’s Office. Our students have gone on to work in law enforcement, victim services, and security management while others have gone on to law school and doctoral programs.
Our Graduate Program:
~ Offers a fully online option to complete the program remotely
~ Offers a fully online cybercrime certificate
~ Offers an in-person program with opportunities for assistantships
Our Undergraduate Program:
~ Offers tracks in both criminal justice and criminology, and cybercrime
~ Offers unique classes such as the Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program
~ Offers a vibrant honors program with opportunities to work with a faculty mentor
~ Provides opportunities to engage with other students, faculty, and the community through the Justice Studies Club
