Constitution Day Poster Competition

“The Constitution in Action”

Tuesday, September 18, 2018

12:30 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.

Carroll Building (first floor rotunda area)

 

Sign up for the competition in the main office of the Political Science Department (Carroll Building, second floor). Each registrant will be provided with a tri-fold tabletop poster and a “Poster Provided by Zach S. Henderson Library” label.

Choose a Constitutional Amendment and a major federal or state appellate court case relevant to the creation or development of that amendment.

Illustrate the essential concepts of the Amendment and the case (and its effect on American life/society) on the poster. “Poster Provided by Zach S. Henderson Library” label must be glued to the lower right panel of the poster.

Deliver your completed project to the first floor rotunda area of the Carroll building by 12:15 p.m. on Sept. 18. Display tables will be provided. Be prepared to give a 2-3 minute talk about your research during the 12:30 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. poster display period.

 

Prizes: $300 (1st place), $150 (2nd place), and $50 (3rd place).  Winners will also receive certificates from the National Association of Women Judges.

Winners will be announced at the Constitution Day Celebration. Please join us for a DESSERT RECEPTION preceding the celebration!!!
