Dr. Brent Awarded 2016 Faculty Research Committee Award

Dr. John J. Brent was awarded a Faculty Research Committee Award by Georgia Southern University. This award is in support of his research working with “at-risk” youth, delinquent juveniles, community leaders, law enforcement agencies, and local institutions. His efforts will include qualitative and quantitative methods, including: ethnographic fieldwork, in-depth interviews, survey research, and secondary data analysis. Overall, his work seeks to identify the needs and remedial-based resources required to remove youth from a “prison-track” and implement “at-promise” programming.
