Dept. of Sociology and Anthropology Student Presents at Social Sciences Conference
Kaitlyn Nasworthy, a Psychology major and Sociology minor, spent part of her spring break giving a presentation at the 11th Annual Conference of the Social Sciences at the University of Florida.
Her paper entitled “Attitudes about the Marriage Institution among College-Educated People and What They Mean for American Society” was co-authored with Pidi Zhang, Ph.D., and Clare Walsh, Ph.D., both of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology.
Kaitlyn also had the rare opportunity to meet Dr. Patricia Hill-Collins, who delivered the keynote address. Hill-Collins is a famous scholar (seen to the left in the above picture) who authored the well-known monograph Black Feminist Thought.
